A trip to a coastal UK town
brings a new label to surface in Quirkee Birds

Seven years ago, Quirkee Birds owner Sofia Londero found herself in the rugged, rainy coastal region of England, called Cornwall. Trying to find herself something to keep her from the cold and wet elements, she stepped into a little store along the boardwalk. That set off a string of events ending with an exciting new label in a couple of "quirkee" stores back in Australia.

That was the very first time Sofia encountered the Danish brand Ilse Jacobsen.
Falling in love with the beautiful details and the feeling that 80% natural material brings, Sofia bought her first pair and loved them so much she decided to source them.

Now, seven years later, our Bowral store has just received the latest delivery of Ilse Jacobsen gum boots and jackets!
