Aussie Designers that rock our racks

While we passionately stock international labels, Quirkee Birds is also a proud supporter of a selected few, very talented, Australian designers. This week we’re taking a peek at two unique Australian labels that rock our world, and racks. 

Lisa Brown

With the business based in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Lisa Brown’s designs have graced catwalks at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, won the Supreme Award at the NRA Australian Fashion awards and are regularly praised by fashion press.

Her signature designs are individual, feminine and feel as beautiful on the skin as they look on the body. A combination of hand washable silks, cottons and linen, exquisite attention to detail and with generous use of fabric, Lisa Brown is a label that women of all ages, shapes and sizes love to wear.

Kinney

Based in Adelaide and designed by ex Free People designer Jana O’Callaghan, the young Aussie label Kinney breathes the laid back ease of Southern Californian living, reflected through effortless silhouettes and not-so-basic basics.

Seasonal collections embody a sophisticated coastal vibe with modern silhouettes, textures, and unique, one-of-a-kind wash treatments that feels amazing to wear. The collections are carefully curated with pieces for a modern woman's wardrobe that is cool, confident and fun.

What these two beautiful labels have in common, is a sense of stylish uniqueness made for the woman who wants something different; something that stands out and doesn't follow the conventional silhouettes. With modern details and cuts, they have both successfully managed to create outstanding pieces in their respective collections this season, including details like sand washed looks and materials in silk-like polyester, giving you that sensual feel, fall and look while offering a great price point.
